I challenge any scientist, educator, business person, celebrity, politician, astrologer, physicist - anyone actually - to explain to me how life can work for life itself - for every human being and the earth - without each of us placing conditions on our expression and demands.

As we dip our toes back into life more fully once the virus has run its course, our world is going to be fragile. It will be trying to find it's flow again and will not want us placing excessive demands on it - ever again. We need to honour it, and each other as sacred.
One thing is for certain as we move back into this world after the virus is done teaching us its lessons, we are going to need to tread softly.
Not only because it has always been the right thing to do, but because this is what we need.
It is what our humanity needs.
What our children need.
And what our earth needs.
She - and us - will be like patients returning to life after a complete psychotic breakdown. Where we had been pushed to a precarious edge from which we almost toppled over.
You do not throw people who have faced such trauma back in at the deep end. You do not put them in the same stressful situation, but you do begin asking questions about what led to such an unsustainable and destructive existence in the first place.
You do wrap them up in cotton wool.
You do take care of their needs.
But in the example I just shared we do it because they need us.
But in our reality right now, we need to do it, because not only does it need us - we need it.
Our world will never be the same, and we will never be the same...hopefully.
Despite the free-choice nature of our world this has to become fact. No more lovely sounding statements of prophesy – ‘a change is coming’, ‘let's just love’, ‘things will be different’.
Because the way we were was sickening to our world.
The noise of our voices really does need to be replaced by the silence of action.
I don't like telling anyone they 'need' to do anything. It's our earth and our own humanity telling us this time.
The days of any individual feeling that they have to make a massive impact or change the world are over.
The influencers among us must become silent. For our world.
Our psychology needs a break from the incessant noise telling us to be bigger, better and more this and more that.
Our world does not need this from us.
It needs the opposite - desperately.
It needs us to live more humbly, simply and with greater silence than ever before.
Never, in history, has the notion of genuinely-actioned sacrifice for something greater been more relevant.
Our system does not need excessive noise, influence or demands on her resources from any one individual.
It’s been the point since the beginning of time.
It never needed what we wanted individually, if those needs meant an excessive life for one, because in a world of balance that meant less for many.
It didn’t need or want us jet-setting our way to every corner of our sacred earth.
It didn’t need to experience the energetic poison of our boastfulness because it didn’t care how awesome the world perceived us as, or whatever our list of achievements was.
It thrives on our humility, anonymity and a gentle touch.
I have heard talk of a new economy.
But here’s the thing, our world never viewed itself as an economy.
We have dug ourselves quite the hole.
A system doesn’t shut down because it is experiencing some minor issues. It shuts down because it cannot cope with what is happening.
I find that incredible.
Our world decided it could no longer cope with the way we were treating it.
But if we ever wanted a reality check on who we really are and what we've become, then that's it!
Everything must come under scrutiny as we move back into life as a collective species.
We should never forget that the things we have lost for the time-being, for hundreds of millions of people, were never a reality in the first place.
So many before us have lived lives that have known nothing but hunger, thirst and suffering.
And in a world of balance, that has to happen if resources are not shared.
Greed leaves a mark in three places.
Where it happens.
Where there is lack.
And on an earth wanting to provide for everyone while being respected and honoured herself.
There is nothing worse for our collective life - life in it’s entirety - as one person needing more than others.
Or needing others to live differently in order to validate their existence.
How much psychological trauma we have faced and endured because we craved lives of excess and great fame, wealth and influence.
In a beautifully tragic irony, we became desperate for the things that were killing our world.
The personal development world used exactly the same tools of temptation the devil used on Jesus.
For him it was a no-brainer.
You don’t harm the planet physically, psychologically or energetically.
You don’t take because you can.
You don’t personally boast of your greatness, even if it’s real, because the humble and honourable human being does not view their greatness as greatness.
If the new world we step into is going to actually support the world itself, we must all come back with a collective mind and heart that takes care of her needs and our true needs.
The demand for sacrifice has never been higher nor has its value in terms of what it would mean to the health of our world.
It cannot be business as usual for anyone.
People have said this is a warning.
The warnings have been coming for a long time now.
And we would be foolish to think this is all our world has up its sleeve.
It wants to feel well.
It doesn’t want a world plagued by hate and judgement and where people suffered trauma psychologically because of the way we live and the things we dream of and desire for ourselves.
Any time we think of our world as an economy, love is absent.
And this is the whole point of our evolution as a species.
It’s to reach a place where we don’t view our world as an economy.
Where we learn to say no to anything that threatens the balance and peace of our earth and our own humanity.
Even the things we will accept in terms of technology, AI and progress must be brought under scrutiny.
And if people move towards greed, excess and a relentless 24-hour-a-day approach to economics and profit, we must stand up.
Not with hate, or judgement.
But with softness and strength. More important than anything is that we be the way the world needs us to be, that we need ourselves to be and that our children need in order to feel cared for and honoured as sacred.
This has always been the way of conditional expression.
In another beautiful irony, an approach to life that was rejected, has just become our only alternative.
But that’s fine.
That’s what conditional expression is. It’s putting conditions on your expression and the things you would do, so that everything you do and say honours humanity and the planet as sacred.
Conditional expression has always been about sacrifice.
It is about going without and not placing excessive demands on our world or messing with the psychology of other human beings.
Not because you can’t, but because your love and care for our world exceeds your own individual wants, dreams and desires - if they make life difficult and unsustainable for life itself.
That’s what unconditional love is.
There’s nothing you wouldn’t do for the object of your love.
Your sacrifice becomes a gift, as opposed to a loss.
My dream is that one day we are a species who do not ever view a simple and humble life, where our demands and impact on the world and others are minimal, as anything other than an honourable life of service.
And that this is the case without any thought at all, without any sense that one is living with any agenda whatsoever, other than unconditional love.
Remember, unconditional love never pauses to ask do I or don’t I, it just does whatever it is the object of its love needs.
No questions asked.
And it does this with nothing but joy and love and it’s heart.
How blessed we are to be given one last chance to make love real in our world.
To replace the noise, boastfulness and intensity that have plagued us so ruthlessly in the past with the silence of humble, loving and anonymous action.
Just thinking about such a world makes me happy.
It makes our children happy; it makes our planet happy and it makes our humanity happy.
Here’s to making our one last chance count.
