I challenge any scientist, educator, business person, celebrity, politician, astrologer, physicist - anyone actually - to explain to me how life can work for life itself - for every human being and the earth - without each of us placing conditions on our expression and demands.
Our new commandment from what many know as God, and others as life, is that we live – every one of us - with conditional expression.
That we put conditions on our expression and demands so that who we are is supportive of life itself, rather than unnecessarily harmful.
This is a way of life that blends both softness and strength.
The ultimate, most beautiful and life giving strength available to every human being and which has not been denied to anyone.
The strength to tread delicately on this earth.
The strength to live a life that holds all life sacred and which proves this through the care it extends to others and the earth.
Why would God, or life, give such a commandment?
Because conditional expression is a way of life that bows to no other power. It worships no other God and has its foundation grounded in an unconditional love for life itself.
This is what unconditional love for something demands.
If I say I love something unconditionally I am saying there is nothing I would not do, change or go without to honour the object of that love as sacred.
In this case – the physical, energetic and psychological health of life itself.
And the resource charged with nourishing that life.
I have heard people state that capitalism has destroyed our world.
Or that money has.
Neither of these comments have any truth to them whatsoever.
Capitalism and money are neither good nor bad.
They are just things.
How we use them – or exploit them might be a better phrase – is up to each of us.
Capitalism did not force any human being to be greedy, excessive in their demands of the earth and energetically corrupt in their expression.
It just created the opportunity to be and do these things.
It was the serpent who offered the apple.
Likewise, having great wealth or being a celebrity does not force anyone into being excessive in the lifestyle they create, nor boastful in the way they promote their lives.
Again, it just creates the platform.
No doubt, there has been no shortage of ‘serpents’ in our world whispering seductively in our ear to take the apple.
Why?
Because we can!
Even though we have been told since the beginning of time, that greed will be destructive to the health of the life we belong to.
This was why the first commandment was so simple and clear and yet all important.
‘Honour no other God but me!’
But we ignored this. We grabbed for every apple we could get our hands on.
And many offering the apples did so, because they had already indulged, and wanted to use their indulgence to enhance personal fame and influence.
If I can do it, so can you!
What are these other gods we worshipped and loved before life itself?
Money.
Lifestyle.
Individual notions of success and abundance.
Fame, popularity and influence.
Needing to be seen as impactful and inspiring.
Creation of a personal brand.
Business.
Personal and economic profit.
Politics.
And even religions and spiritual paths have been used to provide a noble, but clearly transparent, cover for the worship of the gods I have listed above.
How can I get my hands on all of these apples and still appear to be righteous and of virtue?
I know.
I’ll be spiritual or religious.
Then it’s okay.
Actually, it’s not.
It’s even worse.
These people used a very real and sacred God, along with the sacred lens they used to access him, to get their hands on as many apples as they could.
They were the modern day Pharisees.
You may have heard the tagline, ‘Live the life of your dreams, while helping others!’
Unfortunately for life itself, if the dreams of just one of these righteous crusaders is excessive in its demands, it will be destructive to the dreams of life itself.
Of God himself.
This is why the first commandment was so simple and clear.
Honour life itself because if you put other things first then our world must be sick and it must suffer the trauma that comes with greed, imbalance and energetically corrupt expressions.
So, we failed miserably at honouring this first commandment given to us by God. And life has suffered incredibly because of this.
By honouring the gods listed above, and choosing them over what is best for life, we became the cancer that ravaged God’s body.
It is because of our failure to care for our world that we have been given a new and even clearer instruction from God; ‘Put conditions on your expression and demands because that’s what I need to be healthy.’
‘And my health is far more important than your need to live an excessive and influential life.’
Essentially it rewrites the first commandment in a way that makes our honouring of God – of life – real.
‘Honour no other God but me. But actually do this through your actions. For it is only your actions that have any real effect in my physical, psychological and energetic body.’
When I first began sharing this contemporary instruction from God, I was rejected and ridiculed.
I was told I was evil and people said, ‘no one wants to have conditions put on their expression and their way of life.’
Of course.
That’s why life is sick.
Life will never work for life itself – for every human being, creature and the earth - without every person being prepared to put conditions on the things they will do and take so that their life is life-giving to God and all life, as opposed to destructive.
It is conditional expression which makes God, or life itself, the ultimate power.
Which it is.
Is life not showing us this right now?
Everything else can be considered an opportunity, trend or temptation – the winds and storms which threaten our foundation - but nothing rules over our desire to serve all life by living a life that is nourishing for that life.
Take social media for example.
We hear social media is bad.
But social media is neither good nor bad. It’s just a thing.
How people use it will define its energetic impact on our world.
No one forces anyone to use social media in boastful ways or for self-promotion. Or the people responsible for managing social mediums to use them for manipulation and exploitation.
People do these things because they can.
It is how one builds a personal brand.
But life does not work to economic principles nor does it care for our personal brands. Boastfulness and self-promotion are ugly energetic expressions. And that’s what life experiences when we use social media in this way.
You cannot trick life.
Business and economics are not the ultimate powers.
God is.
Or Life, if you prefer.
And if we continue as we are, life dies.
We are like a cancer that believes it can take over a body without the body knowing or experiencing it.
Imagine our surprise when the body is actually dying and we realise we go with it.
And that the trauma we were inflicting on that body – because we didn’t want to put any conditions on our individual expression and because we needed to be seen as inspiring and influential – was physical, psychological and energetic agony to that body.
So much so, it shut down.
And even then we didn’t stop.
The cancer rolled on and continues to roll on today.
The physical world is no illusion. Who you are and the way you live is very real to the life we belong to.
It experiences it all - your physical demands, your energetic expression and the way you influence or manipulate the psychology of others.
This is why we are given instruction by that life on how to live in a way that supports it.
It’s sick because the high-income world thought it could brush these instructions aside – take the apple so to speak - and get away with it.
And, in doing so, brought life to its knees.
People speak of change because life itself is incredibly ill.
Conditional expression has the goal of living in a manner that never wants life to be sick in the first place.
It is not reactive and nor does it act out of necessity.
It acts out of unconditional love – always.
It sees God – or life - as the one and only power in this world.
And submits, with love and liberation - for it is free from any whispers of temptation - to the wishes and commands of that power.
No political or economic system has power over us.
Nor do individual notions of lifestyle, success and abundance.
Nothing does, when it comes to our choices and form of expression.
It will either honour God and all life, or it won’t.
And, whichever is the case, it’s on us. No matter how we portray our lives to the rest of the world.
Life is not interested in our greatness, what we become or in the impact and influence we might need to have on our world in order to validate our own lives.
It’s interested in what you actually are and how much – or how little - physical, energetic and psychological distress your individual existence needs to cause it.
Life feels like it does now, for a reason.
And it’s not because we have honoured life’s needs – or God’s instructions – through humble, loving and courageous action.
No longer, in God’s eyes, is an intense and impactful life required of us.
It’s now when the meek will inherit the earth.
Because being gentle on life itself is the only way we will make it feel well.
It is the only way we can ease the cancer that ravages the body we all belong to.
And this can only be achieved through our conditional expression, which is why God has made it his contemporary word and instruction on how to live.
In doing so, he asks us to do what Adam and Eve couldn’t do and what humanity has never been able to do.
Say ‘no’ to things that are harmful to life, even when they seem tempting and seductive to our own individual lives.
Thus, it becomes the premise of conditional expression, and one of its most essential mantras, that ‘love knows how to say, no!’
You can ignore a cancer in your own body and pretend it’s not there. But it will catch up with you eventually.
And so, it has been with life itself.
The damage we have been causing with our expression has caught up with us.
Life is sick.
What a legacy this day and age is really leaving.
With Unconditional Love for all Life.
